The Sierra Leonean community in Melbourne united to fight Ebola in West AFrica

The Sierra Leonean Community in Melbourne has convened to discussed ways to provide assitance to the Sierra Leonean government to fight the Ebola virus in the West African nation and its surroundings. A meeting was organised on Sunday 3 August 2014 at the Multicultural Hub in Melbourne’s downtown and brought together close to a hundred people from different areas of Melbourne and the country. Alhaji Sankoh, the president of the Community, as well as many other promiment community members  spoke to AMA to ask for financial assistance from the broader Australian community.
