One of the most prominent figures in the African-Australian community in Victoria, Dr Berhan Ahmed the current chairman of the African Think Tank (ATT) is a candidate for the Victorian state seat of Melbourne in a by-election scheduled for 21 July 2012 . He is running as an independent and spoke briefly to Clyde Salumu Sharady from Africa Media Australia (AMA).
