The story of George & Little Global People

by  Africa Media Australia

George Green is the founder of Little Global People, a small education-focused business creating tools and resources for primary school students that celebrate identity, culture and representation. He is also a published children’s book author and works in the Department of Education.

Through Little Global People, George creates educational resources that help children of colour see themselves, their identities and their cultures reflected in positive and meaningful ways. The resources also provide opportunities for all children to learn about and appreciate the diverse world around them.

George also works with secondary school students through writing workshops, encouraging young people to develop their voice, explore their experiences and express themselves through storytelling and creative writing. Across his work in education, writing and Little Global People, George is passionate about creating spaces where young people feel seen, valued, represented and confident in who they are.

Inspired by George’s own cultural background, Little Global People is inclusive of children from all cultures, backgrounds and faiths, with a focus on identity, culture and representation rather than religion.

“Representation helps children feel seen, valued and included.”
