The funding will also target support for young people from African, Afghan, and Lebanese communities and other multicultural youth aged 15-25 years. The funding was announced as Premier Daniel Andrews and Minister for Multicultural Affairs Robin Scott opened the first meeting of the inaugural African Ministerial Working Group (AMWG), a forum for direct engagement between representatives from African communities and the Labor Government.

Mr Scott today also announced $1 million over four years to help South Sudanese community organisations build their capacity and promote new partnerships within the community.
