AMA’s Afro Shine Awards celebrate the achievements of African-Australian communities across Australia. The awards are handed at an annual awards night that take place towards the end of the year. Nominations for awards are taken anytime throughout the year. A formal nominations campaign is usually launched in early July and close in early October every year.
