Attorney-General Martin Pakula today announced the appointment of Jennifer Huppert as a member of the Board of the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (VEOHRC).
Ms Huppert was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1986, and boasts experience in leasing, property development, and acquisitions and dispositions.

“Jennifer Huppert has a wealth of experience in property law and has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to organisations that support young people and the Jewish community.” Said Attorney-General Martin Pakula
Jennifer is currently Special Counsel at KHQ Lawyers and works with institutions, private companies and not-for-profit organisations.
She was also a Member of the Legislative Council in the Parliament of Victoria between 2009 and 2010, and was the Director of the Emergency Services and State Superannuation Board for three years between 2006 and 2009.
Ms Huppert has had extensive involvement in Jewish community organisations and is currently President of the Jewish Community Council of Victoria. Prior to this, she was a board member of the National Council of Jewish Women of Australia.
She was also a board member of Youth Connect, a not-for-profit community organisation that works to provide young people with the skills and knowledge required to help them navigate a successful pathway through secondary education, further learning and employment.
Ms Huppert has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University and a Masters of Urban Planning from the University of Melbourne.
The VEOHRC Board is responsible for determining the Commission’s strategic direction including setting policies and priorities, and the general activities required for the Commission to perform its functions.
