New funding available from FECCA for community groups

by  Africa Media Australia

The Federation of Ethic Communities’ Councils of Australia (FECCA) is announcing the second phase of the  CALD COVID-19 Health Small Grants Fund.

Community organisations can now apply for this round of the funding, if they have completed their activities, as part of the first round of the grants for those who received funding during the first round.

In this phase of granting, FECCA says it will administer grants of $5000 to groups that will focus on the following objectives:

  • Addressing barriers to accessing information on COVID-19 and the vaccination program, especially regarding booster shots and vaccines for 5-11 year olds;
  • Providing the opportunity for communities to identify and respond to issues and concerns surrounding COVID-19 and the vaccination program;
  • Providing accurate and culturally relevant information on the COVID-19 Vaccination Program; and
  • Focusing on high priority groups (such as women, children and the elderly) and areas with low vaccination rates.

Those interested in making new applications can use the following link to access the information page. The application form can also be accessed through this link .

Applications close at the end of April 2022 and the project implementation will need to be completed by end of June 2022.
