“What Works” DVD was put together as part of the Refugee Action Program to help members of new and emerging communities to find work. It features several interviews from individuals in these communities recounting their journeys in Australia and their experience in finding employment, including the tips that have helped them in the process. Minister of Multicultural affairs (Victoria) Nick Kotsiras attended the event and officially launched the DVD. Adam Bandt, federal member for Melbourne who has been working with communities as part of the Melbourne Employment Forum also attended the event and gave a speech to share his insights on how the issue of unemployment needs to be tackled for these vulnerable communities that are increasingly finding themselves unable to work.
