The inaugural National Conference on Migration, Media and Integration /Social cohesion will take place in Melbourne on 31st May and 1st June 2016. This conference is an opportunity for our communities to highlight issues, challenges and opportunities in relation to media representations of migrant/ethnic communities in Australian media.
As part of this conference, we are inviting you to have your say and contribute to a positive change in this area. Please take 5 minutes to provide your view on this important issue for all Culturally And Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. We are asking you to tell us What you like, what you don’t like and what change would you like to see, when it comes to media representations of multicultural communities in the media, particularly mainstream media outlets.
Your feedback will help inform and educate different media operators, government bodies and community leaders on what needs to be done to improve media representations of multicultural communities and help create a more inclusive, harmonious and prosperous Australia.
