Fitrah is inviting members of the African communities in Melbourne to its 2nd workshop called ” “Because I’m Black!; Fitting In And Standing Out The African- Australian Way”. The workshops provide a platform for exploring and engaging on various issues in the African community in Australia. The workshops aim to facilitate conversations and discussions among African-Australian youth and with other members of the African-Australian community who have experienced similar or have relevant life experience, training or skillS
The Theme of the workshops is Honouring Our Many African Roots Within A Diverse Australian Heritage
The workshops provide opportunities for reflections and conversations about Identity, heritage and culture, current issues, education, career and future opportunities for young African-Australian. Fitraz also seeks to Facilitate networking and mentoring opportunities among African-Australians young and older generation.
The workshops start on 5 December 2015 in Point Cook, Melbourne.
