Australians gamble more money per capita than any other people on earth. Gambling harm is now a very serious societal issue that deserves more attention. Multicultural communities are not exempt from this issue and increasingly more young people in these communities are falling victims of gambling and need help.
In this video, a young man from Australian-Indonesian background talks about his experience with gambling from the moment he was first introduced to that environment to the way he struggled with gambling harm until he was able to get help and control addiction.
This video is produced in partnership with MRC North West to raise awareness about gambling harm within multicultural groups.
