The Victorian Liberal Party reaffirmed its commitment to Victoria’s diverse communities by hosting a Multicultural Media Conference on Wednesday evening, held in the Liberal Party Room at Parliament House, Spring Street, East Melbourne.

Running from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, the event brought together multicultural media representatives from across the state to hear the Liberal Party’s perspectives on key policy issues and the alternatives it plans to offer Victorians. The conference provided a platform for open dialogue between the Party and multicultural media outlets, emphasising the importance of inclusive communication and policy transparency.
In his address, Shadow Minister Brad Battin highlighted the vital role multicultural and regional media platforms play in ensuring government messaging reaches all communities. He stressed the importance of maintaining strong, accessible media networks so that people from all backgrounds can receive accurate and timely information that affects their lives in Australia.
“Supporting multicultural media is not just about representation—it’s about making sure every Victorian has access to the information they need to participate fully in society,” Mr Battin said.
Guests had the opportunity to meet and engage with Members of Parliament in an informal setting, fostering direct connections between community voices and political leaders.
